Technician servicing home generator near house.

Your Generator Requires Regular Servicing and Maintenance

A whole-house standby generator is a great asset to your home and family during power outages.

But a whole-house standby generator can only do it's job correctly if it is well maintained and serviced regularly.

Make an appointment for a service visit, and when our technician arrives, they will inspect every aspect of the generator system, including the installation, to verify such things as:

  •     Generator is level, and not in a low lying area

  •     Generator is sufficient distance away from any window or other opening

  •     Generator has the proper clearance in the front and sides with proper ventilation

  •     Generator has proper overhead clearance

  •     Generator is clear of downspouts and sprinklers

  •     That fuel and electrical lines are properly secured in compliance with all codes

  •     Review alarm codes and exercise history.

Additionally, the technician will:

  •    Check fuel system for leaks, correct pressure and inspect for corrosion.

  •    Check battery voltage and remove corrosion and tighten battery terminals.

  •    Check all electrical connections, verify all DC and AC output voltages.

  •    Manually run generator to verify no excessive vibration or noise, inspect for oil leaks,

simulate loss of utility power to verify operation.

This list is representative, actual procedures will be specific to the generator model, age and condition.
